Study in Ireland

Ireland is an island west of Great Britain in Europe.  Dublin, capital of Ireland, is located in the East of Ireland. Ireland is a modern country with a predominantly young population. The people are very lively. It has lush green vegetation and due to its geographic location has a moderate climate. Summer temperatures vary between 15 to 20 degrees and in winters between 4 to 8 degrees. Rainfall is frequent but not very heavy and snow does not last many days at a stretch apart from the mountainous regions.

The main languages are Irish and English, with English being the most widely spoken language. Ireland is vastly being acknowledged as one of the fastest growing economies across the globe today. Ireland is a very safe country with friendly people.

The population of Ireland is rapidly being enhanced with the presence of migrants from other countries. This is also having an impact on the food in Ireland which has begun to echo the influence of immigrant nations. All across the country in the Restaurants & Supermarkets one can see the presence of European, American, Indian, Polish and Chinese cuisine needs being served.

Students from foreign countries are rapidly choosing Ireland as their country of choice for higher education. Study in Ireland is becoming a parallel option for students. Many internationally ranked Universities and Institutes offer students an opportunity to study there and apply a visa to Study in Ireland.

Ireland immigration issues a provisional visa for Study to applicants. Upon completion of the course (depending on the Course) one is able to apply for a Work Visa and stay in Ireland. Once the conditions of Immigration are satisfied one is able to apply for Permanent Residence as well.

Study in Ireland Visas is granted under two categories, ‘C’ study visa’ and ‘D study visa’.  The ‘C’ visa is for Study in Ireland courses with less than 3 months duration and the ‘D’ visa is for Study in Ireland courses for more than 3 months duration.

All living expenses are to be borne by the students themselves; however they are able to augment their income by working while studying. During regular term time they are permitted to work 20 hours per week and during college vacations they can work 40 hours per week.

Successful completion of Higher Secondary School is the eligibility for application. Although Gaelic is the first language of Ireland, English is the more widely used language. English is the medium of instruction in most universities. Every applicant must demonstrate a proficiency in English language. One of the acceptable methods is by taking the IELTS Test.

All applicants need to provide evidence that they have access to funds to financially support themselves for both, the tuition fees and for their living expenses. These need to be proven for the duration of their stay in Ireland. Having a Medical insurance is also mandatory.

At Exodus Overseas our team of experts is there to guide you and assist you. We shall take you through the entire process, right from Selecting a Course and College to subsequently obtaining the Student Visa for Ireland.
